Letter from the Chair

Dear Chamber Members,

On behalf of the Raytown Area Chamber of Commerce, I want to thank you for your membership and commitment to the Raytown Community.  As a lifelong resident of Raytown, it is an honor for me to serve as your Chair for 2018.

The Raytown Chamber is full of rich history and tradition.  I hope that you have experienced that tradition and will help make new traditions in our future.  By your active membership, you play a very important part in taking the Chamber down the trail we will be embarking on soon.

I want to thank Carol Baker for graciously stepping into the Chair position and leading our Chamber over the past year.  Her experience in the Business and Chamber worlds enriched each of us in 2017.

Our Chamber exists to support the business community and to help make Raytown a great place to live and do business.  The Chamber is not alone in this endeavor.  I have always believed it “takes a village” to accomplish great things.  No matter what your role is, you are needed and appreciated. The Raytown Chamber offers many opportunities for you to be active and involved: monthly luncheons with informative guest speakers, networking events through our A.M. Connections or After-Hours events, committees, the annual golf tournament, Raytown Night at the Royals, Senior Celebration, Raytown Night at the Mavericks, Raytown Young Professionals and Mega Office Party, just to name a few.  These are offered throughout the year at different times of the day and month to accommodate busy schedules.  I challenge you as a  fellow Chamber member to take a step to be more active in “the village.”  Bring a business neighbor with you to an event, attend an event that you personally have not yet taken part in and experience something new.

With the Rock Island Trail project blazing through Raytown and at the front door of the Chamber office, the potential for growth is endless. Travel the trail with us as we embark on an adventure that will bring visitors from all over as they travel the trail to see what Raytown has to offer.

As a resident, the Raytown Chamber is your first stop for information about our community.  You can get information about our elected officials, be referred to one of our trusted members for a product or service and to find out about events going on in our dynamic community.

Thank you again for your membership, thank you to all our Board members, committee members and volunteers that are led by our President, Vicki Turnbow.
