Exciting Things Happening In Raytown

After hearing Mayor David Bower give his State of the City Address there seems to be a lot going on in Raytown.  Here are a few items he mentioned:  Streetscape Project on 63rd Street in downtown should be underway by this summer, Jackson County has been cleared to buy Rock Island Corridor through a Memo of Understanding with Union Pacific Railroad that gives Jackson County the exclusive right to acquire key transit corridors which have the potential to be used for expanded public transit options in the future,  Raytown is working with Mid America Regional Council on the KC Communities for all Ages, several new businesses have opened just in the last month and Google Fiber is working hard to get all the fiber installation set in the city.  The Chamber can’t wait to see what the next few months has to bring.
