Job Description:

Agency Sales/Service Representative

This position works independently to generate new business for the agency. Expectations are to write business in the auto, home and life product lines. Approximately 10-15% of time will be spent marketing out of the office. This position will be filled on a full time basis.

Key Responsibilities:

• All aspects of the sales cycle; prospect, quote, sell, issue policies

• External marketing activities; i.e. cultivate relationships with centers of influence

• Limited service work as needed by new clients


Self motivated

Able to build relationships quickly

Able to work with limited supervision and manage time effectively

Excellent follow-up

Oral/Written Communication- ability to effectively communicate with agent and clients

Working knowledge of Microsoft Applications (Word, Excel, Outlook)

Able to learn quickly

Enjoys a fast paced environment

Ability and desire to grow, both in knowledge base and professional skills

Problem Solving


High School Diploma

Min of Two or more years of college preferred

Knowledge of Property/Casualty Insurance preferred

Must obtain or have property/casualty and life/health licenses

Other Requirements:

1. Due to the fiduciary responsibilities of the producer position, six months of clean credit with no late payments and no bankruptcies over the past three years are required.

2. Within the past 10 years has not been convicted of a felony?

3. Within the past 10 years has not been convicted of a misdemeanor involving domestic abuse?

4. Within the past 5 years has not been convicted of a misdemeanor involving battery or assault?

Salary: Based on education, relevant work experience and production

Base, plus commissions and renewals
