2016 COMMITTEE/TASK FORCE OPPORTUNITIES
The Raytown Chamber has many committee opportunities available to the Chamber member. If you are interested in one of the following committees, please contact the Chamber office.
– Government Relations/Advocacy, Madeline Romious/Alderman Josh Greene, Committee Chairs
Review legislation affecting business, network with local, county and state elected officials. This group provides for a round table type discuss with elected officials in attendance. Meetings are normally held the third Friday of each month, 8:00 a.m. at the Chamber office.
– Raytown Chamber/Raytown Rotary Golf Tournament, Terry Landers, Committee Chairs
Golf is another great way to connect with others. We are looking for golfers and non-golfers to help plan this annual tournament. Date has been confirmed for Thursday, May 19 to be held at Hillcrest Golf Course. This group normally meets monthly from February to June.
-Membership Services, Jeff Hirst/Rene Purtee, Committee Chairs
This committee works to set programs for the year and helps with the mentoring of new members as well as retain current members; recruiting throughout the year especially during the membership drive from August 1 through September 30. This committee meets the first Wednesday of every month, Noon at the Chamber office. Bring your own lunch.
-Raytown Night/Day at the Royals, Jason Hanson, Task Force Chair
Take us out to the ballpark and celebrate the 2015 World Champion Kansas City Royals! Help promote and organize one of the largest community events in the KC Metro area. Meetings are held monthly from February to May. Game date to be determined
-Senior Celebration Task Force
Do you like to plan parties with music and lots of fun? This could be the task force for you. Date of the event is September 24 from 5 to 8 pm. Monthly meetings will run from April until September.
-Young Professionals, Kaylie Baker/Holly Grimwood Committee Chairs
The committee is just forming and will put together two events in 2016 along with a “Service Day”. Be a part of this new committee working to engage Young Professionals in the Raytown Area. Meeting to be determined.
